With big pleasure we present today volume 4 in the ongoing FAKE SCORES SERIES. This time the soundtrack composed for the imaginary feature movie "THE GROW".

Album download comes complete with the movie script sketch (in English i po polsku) in PDF format and the mood-board video to help you imagine the whole picture.

Synopsis goes like this:
„THE GROW” (it maybe be known under working title „Botanica Artificialis”)

In the cutting-edge biology lab, Dr. Alexis Springton leads a team of scientists and tech-savvy Aria to create never-before-seen plants with the help of an artificial intelligence system. The AI generates mesmerizing 3D models of unique plants that exhibit an eerie 80s horror vibe. As they bring the AI's creations to life using CRISPR technology, the lab is filled with bizarre and stunning flora, named in Latin to honor botanical history.

Through sepia-toned flashbacks, we glimpse the genealogy of these discoveries, harking back to Dr. Isabella Carnage, a visionary botanist from the 1980s and even to Victorian Era, where we meet legendary scientist Dr. Jasmine Holbein. Their experiments also led to surreal plants, but they soon became uncontrollable, pushing her to take drastic measures to contain them.

Present-day tensions arise as Dr. Alexis and the team admire their awe-inspiring creations but remain cautious of the potential dangers. Aria expresses concerns, prompting Dr. Alexis to learn from the past and proceed responsibly. The team works together to contain the unique plants, acknowledging the thin line between scientific discovery and ethical consequences.

„THE GROW" explores the fascinating world of biology and artificial intelligence while delving into the dark allure of the 80s horror genre. The film raises questions about the responsible use of technology and the potential consequences of tampering with nature.

Streszczenie: THE GROW (może występować także pod roboczym tytułem „Botanica Artificialis”)

W supernowoczesnym laboratorium biologicznym dr Alexis Springton kieruje zespołem naukowców i znającą się na technologii Arią, aby stworzyć nigdy wcześniej nie widziane rośliny za pomocą systemu sztucznej inteligencji. Sztuczna inteligencja generuje hipnotyzujące modele 3D unikalnych roślin, które wykazują niesamowitą atmosferę horroru z lat 80. Gdy ożywiają dzieła sztucznej inteligencji za pomocą technologii CRISPR, laboratorium wypełnia się dziwaczną
i oszałamiającą florą, nazywaną po łacinie na cześć historii botaniki.

Poprzez retrospekcje, w odcieniach sepii, dostrzegamy genealogię tych odkryć, nawiązując do dr Isabelli Carnage, wizjonerskiej botaniczki z lat 80. XX wieku, a nawet do epoki wiktoriańskiej, gdzie spotykamy legendarną naukowczyni dr Jasmine Holbein. Ich eksperymenty również doprowadziły do powstania surrealistycznych roślin, ale wkrótce efekty wymknęły się spod kontroli, co zmusiło badaczki do podjęcia drastycznych kroków, aby je powstrzymać.

Współczesne napięcia pojawiają się, gdy dr Alexis i zespół podziwiają ich zachwycające dzieła, ale jednak próbują zachować ostrożność
w obliczu potencjalnych niebezpieczeństw. Aria wyraża obawy, co skłoniło doktor Alexis do wyciągnięcia wniosków z przeszłości
i odpowiedzialnego postępowania. Zespół współpracuje, aby zabezpieczyć unikalne rośliny, uznając, że granica między odkryciami naukowymi a konsekwencjami etycznymi jest bardzo cienka.

THE GROW eksploruje fascynujący świat biologii i sztucznej inteligencji, zagłębiając się jednocześnie w mroczny urok gatunku horroru z lat 80 i groteski, zawiera także liczne sceny taneczne
i musicalowe. Film stawia pytania o odpowiedzialne korzystanie
z technologii i potencjalne konsekwencje ingerencji w przyrodę.

Tracks 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18 were bred with the precious help from the AI cornucopia. Same for the movie script.
Artificial intelligence tools, with all their rapidly evolving capabilities, but also their implications, biases and limitations, have been engaged to show this particular state of affairs today.

Of course, this is a kind of experiment, maybe even a one-off. I understand and support all kinds of artists in the film industry and others who have doubts or directly oppose the rise of artificial intelligence, because these new tools in the hands of evil people can clearly be dangerous. But I also see these new technologies as an opportunity to expand horizons and create something that has never been seen, heard or experienced before. As in any biological and botanical laboratory - everything must be clean, clear and transparent in order to grow something fresh, alive, vivid and valuable. I hope we have a good chance of this. If we act quickly, a huge part of this meadow could be ours.
